Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Solar Heat Pump Technician with 3-2 years of hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar water heating and heat pump systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot solar heat pump systems.
- Handle installation of heat pump units, water tanks, pumps, pipelines, valves, and solar water heating systems.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical connections for heat pump systems.
- Check refrigerant pressure, temperature, water flow, and system performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, pumps, sensors, and controllers.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of heat pump systems.
- Identify refrigerant leakage and carry out necessary repair and charging activities.
- Check electrical panels, wiring, contactors, relays, MCBs, and motors.
- Monitor system efficiency, water temperature, pressure, and energy consumption.
- Perform testing and commissioning of newly installed systems.
- Attend customer/site complaints and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and daily work reports.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and site teams during installation and maintenance.
Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of heat pump systems and refrigeration cycles.
- Experience in installation and servicing of air-source heat pumps / solar heat pump water heaters.
- Knowledge of refrigeration tools and equipment.
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot compressors, pumps, sensors, controllers, and refrigerant circuits.
- Knowledge of refrigerant charging, vacuuming, pressure testing, and leak detection.
- Ability to read basic electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer/project sites.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in solar water heaters, heat pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, water heating systems, or solar thermal systems will be preferred.
