Job Summary
The HVAC Site/Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems at project sites. This role ensures that all HVAC and related Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) integration activities are executed according to engineering designs, safety standards, and project timelines. The engineer coordinates closely with contractors, consultants, and internal administrative and procurement teams to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and compliant solutions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Project Management
- Blueprint Analysis: Analyze and interpret engineering plans, structural layouts, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Layout & Surveying: Plan technical drawings, construction layouts, and perform on-site setting out, leveling, and surveying.
- Installation Supervision: Directly manage and supervise HVAC installation activities (including ducting, piping, insulation, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and VRF/VRV systems).
- Schedule Maintenance: Develop and monitor daily/weekly construction schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Budget & Procurement: Manage construction materials, monitor project budgets, and negotiate vendor contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
2. Coordination & Communication
- MEP Integration: Liaise and collaborate effectively with architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and plumbing contractors.
- Supply Chain Sync: Coordinate closely with procurement and logistics teams to track the timely delivery of HVAC equipment and materials.
- Progress Reviews: Conduct regular site meetings, lead progress reviews, and address site-level technical bottlenecks immediately.
3. Quality & Safety Assurance
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all incoming materials used and work performed strictly align with project specifications, design drawings, and building codes.
- Inspections: Implement quality control procedures, perform site inspections to monitor progress, and proactively identify structural or technical issues.
- Safety Protocols: Enforce strict on-site safety protocols and statutory regulations to ensure safe working conditions for the entire workforce and sub-contractors.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Site Records: Maintain detailed site logs, including daily progress reports (DPRs), inspection reports, and material consumption registers.
- Management Reporting: Prepare clear progress updates and submit them regularly to project managers, clients, and senior leadership.
- As-Built Assets: Assist in drafting as-built drawings and comprehensive Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
5. Commissioning & Handover
- System Testing: Oversee the testing, balancing, and commissioning of all HVAC equipment and control systems (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, etc.).
- Client Handover: Support the formal project handover process to the client and provide initial operational training to the client’s maintenance team.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Practical experience in executing HVAC/MEP projects on commercial, residential, or industrial sites.
- Key Skills: Engineering layout analysis, site surveying, labor coordination, vendor negotiation, and proficiency in project documentation.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
