Role Purpose
The Looms Shed Production Foreman is responsible for supervising daily weaving operations, ensuring loom efficiency, maintaining fabric quality standards, and managing operator performance. The role bridges production targets with workforce management, ensuring smooth functioning of the looms shed.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Supervision
- Oversee day-to-day loom operations and ensure optimal machine utilization.
- Monitor fabric output, quality, and efficiency against set production targets.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Workforce Management
- Supervise loom operators, helpers.
- Allocate manpower across looms to balance workload and maximize productivity.
- Train and mentor operators on best practices, safety, and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance
- Identify defects and implement corrective measures to reduce rejections.
- Work closely with the quality team to enforce inspection protocols.
- Shift & Reporting
- Prepare daily production reports (efficiency, stoppages, fabric output).
- Maintain shift discipline and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Report operational challenges and suggest improvements.
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety standards in the looms shed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/ITI in Textile Technology or equivalent experience in weaving operations.
- 5–7 years of experience in loom shed (preferably in airjet looms).
- Strong knowledge of loom mechanics, yarn properties, and fabric construction.
- Leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate operators.
- Proficiency in production reporting and basic Excel.
- Problem-solving mindset with focus on efficiency and quality.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
