Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree from a recognized university.
- Ph.D. will be preferred.
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in university administration, academic governance, examinations, regulatory compliance, or institutional management in reputed higher education institutions.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as Registrar in a recognized University or Higher Education Institution.
- Strong understanding of UGC regulations, statutory compliance, university governance, and academic administration.
- Proven experience in handling university records, policy implementation, legal matters, and coordination with regulatory authorities.
- Candidates must fulfill applicable UGC and State Government norms.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and ensure efficient functioning of administrative operations.
- Manage and supervise university records, official documentation, statutory registers, notifications, and correspondence.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings of statutory bodies such as the Board of Management, Academic Council, Finance Committee, and other university committees.
- Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE, State Government, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee implementation of university policies, regulations, ordinances, and administrative procedures.
- Supervise administrative departments and ensure smooth coordination among academic and non-academic units.
- Handle legal, regulatory, and governance matters related to the university.
- Support accreditation and ranking initiatives including NAAC, NIRF, and other quality assurance frameworks.
- Monitor institutional compliance, audits, inspections, and documentation requirements.
- Facilitate examination-related administration, academic records, and student services in coordination with concerned departments.
- Assist university leadership in strategic planning, policy formulation, and institutional development initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication between university authorities, regulatory bodies, faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of university governance, academic regulations, and higher education administration.
- Experience in handling statutory compliance, legal documentation, and regulatory inspections.
- Familiarity with NAAC, NIRF, NEP 2020, UGC regulations, and accreditation frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple administrative functions while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, digital administration platforms, and office management tools.
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
Pay Scale
₹70,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month
(Commensurate with qualifications, experience, and administrative expertise)
