Job Summary
A Site Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance at construction sites. The role focuses on preventing accidents, conducting safety inspections, enforcing safety regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture among workers and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement site safety plans and procedures
- Conduct daily safety inspections and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with local safety laws and company policies
- Monitor use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety training sessions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Prepare safety reports and documentation
- Coordinate emergency response and evacuation procedures
- Identify hazardous conditions and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor work permits such as hot work, confined space, and work at height
- Ensure safe operation of machinery, scaffolding, lifting activities, and electrical systems
- Maintain safety records, audit reports, and compliance documents
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and government safety inspectors
Skills Required:
- Good knowledge of construction site safety protocols and PPE usage.
- Ability to identify hazards and suggest preventive measures.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining safety records and reports.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Safety Engineering, Fire & Industrial Safety, Civil, or Mechanical.
Experience: Fresher to 2 year (preferably in construction or PEB industry).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
