About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of practical accounting experience and be capable of independently handling day-to-day accounting operations while working closely with Chartered Accountants. The role involves bookkeeping, statutory compliance, reconciliations, financial reporting support, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Record journal entries, receipts, payments, and general ledger transactions.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
- Perform bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and accounting documentation.
- Assist in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Support Chartered Accountants during audits, financial statement preparation, and tax filings.
- Maintain accounting records, supporting documents, and financial reports.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, banks, and internal departments for finance-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B. Com).
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Hands-on experience with Tally ERP/Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in preparing financial reports and maintaining accounting records.
- Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF functions, basic formulas).
- Experience working with Chartered Accountants or Audit Firms will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of financial statement preparation and reconciliation processes.
- Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks with accuracy.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
