Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to join the XTRIBUTOR engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise-grade cloud commerce applications through structured testing processes and close collaboration with development, product, and business teams.
The candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing, test planning, defect lifecycle management, and software quality assurance. Basic coding knowledge in Java and familiarity with enterprise web applications will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and UI testing for enterprise applications.
- Create, review, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects through their complete lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.
- Perform end-to-end testing of CRM, CPQ, Marketplace, Billing, and cloud commerce applications.
- Validate REST APIs, business workflows, and database-driven functionalities.
- Conduct smoke, sanity, regression, and release validation testing before production deployments.
- Prepare QA reports, test execution summaries, and defect metrics.
- Ensure applications meet functional, usability, and performance quality standards.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in Software Testing and Manual Testing.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience testing enterprise web applications is preferred.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, MCA, B.Tech, B.E., or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Technical degree is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Basic programming knowledge in Java is a strong advantage.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Familiarity with MySQL and database validation using SQL queries.
- Understanding of telecom, cloud commerce, SaaS, subscription management, or BSS platforms.
- Exposure to automation testing concepts and tools is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps is preferred.
