Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) A Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing patient samples such as blood, urine, and other body fluids to help diagnose, monitor, and treat diseases. They operate laboratory equipment, perform diagnostic tests, maintain accurate records, ensure quality control, and follow safety and infection-control protocols. MLTs work closely with doctors, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate test results while maintaining patient confidentiality and laboratory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and prepare patient specimens.
Perform routine laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other samples. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments.
•Record and verify test results accurately.
•Follow quality assurance and infection control procedures.
•Maintain laboratory inventory and documentation. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards.
