Job Description: AI/ML Product Innovation Intern (Research-Focused)
Role Overview Havet AI is seeking an exceptionally curious, tech-savvy AI/ML Product Innovation Intern to serve as the research backbone of our product team. In this role, your primary mission is pure innovation research—not routine maintenance or basic coding. You will act as our technology scout, analyzing the global AI/ML landscape, decoding complex research papers, and identifying cutting-edge models that can make our product 10x more advanced. . Key Responsibilities
- Technology Scouting: Continuously track global AI/ML breakthroughs across arXiv, Hugging Face, GitHub, and tech conferences.
- Product Feasibility Research: Evaluate whether newly discovered AI models or frameworks are practical, cost-effective, and viable for our specific product ecosystem.
- Competitor AI Reverse-Engineering: Deeply research and dissect how global competitors or parallel industries are leveraging AI/ML to solve user problems.
- Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Building: Create quick, scrappy prototypes (using Python, LangChain, or simple API integrations) to visually demonstrate researched concepts to the product team.
- Feature Ideation: Translate complex technical AI capabilities into clear, high-impact feature recommendations for the Product Roadmap.
- Research Documentation: Build clear, highly structured summary decks explaining complex algorithms in simple, business-oriented terms.
Requirements & Skills
- Research-First Mindset: A proven track record of, or a deep passion for, academic or product-driven research. You must know how to navigate, read, and extract value from technical AI papers.
- Intellectual Curiosity: An insatiable drive to figure out how complex AI systems operate under the hood.
- Technical Foundation: Strong proficiency in Python alongside a solid theoretical grasp of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, LLMs, or Generative AI ecosystems.
- Experimental Toolkit: Familiarity with open-source repositories, prompting techniques, and utilizing AI APIs to validate hypotheses rapidly.
- Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to look at a product gap and independently scout the exact AI technology needed to bridge it.
