Job Overview
Vasantrao Naik Mahavidyalaya invites applications from qualified and enthusiastic academicians for the position of Assistant Professor / Faculty in BBA Logistics & Supply Chain Management. The ideal candidate should possess strong academic knowledge and/or industry experience in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, warehousing, procurement, inventory management, operations management, and related business disciplines.
The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students, supporting internships and placements, and contributing to academic and institutional development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in BBA Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
- Deliver lectures in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement & Purchasing, Transportation Management, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, Operations Management, International Logistics, and related subjects.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Mentor and guide students for academic, career, and industry readiness.
- Support student internships, industry projects, and placement activities.
- Organize industrial visits, workshops, guest lectures, seminars, and skill development programs.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, assessment reports, and departmental documentation.
- Participate in curriculum development, accreditation, and quality assurance activities.
- Build industry-academia linkages and support placement initiatives.
- Contribute to institutional growth, admissions, outreach activities, and student engagement programs.
Eligibility CriteriaEssential Qualifications
- MBA in Logistics & Supply Chain Management / Supply Chain Management / Operations Management / Logistics Management.
- Master's Degree with a consistently good academic record.
- Strong subject knowledge in logistics and supply chain domains.
Preferred Qualifications
- NET/SET qualification.
- Prior teaching experience in BBA, B.Com, MBA, or Management programs.
- Industry experience in Logistics, Transportation, Warehousing, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, Retail Supply Chain, E-Commerce Logistics, or related sectors.
