VMware L2 Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled VMware L2 Engineer to handle mid-level support, maintenance, and optimization of our virtualized environments. You will play a key role in managing hyper-converged infrastructure, handling upgrades, and ensuring robust disaster recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities
· VMware Operations: Manage daily operations, patch updates, and major/minor upgrades for vSphere environments (vCenter, ESXi).
· Disaster Recovery: Configure, troubleshoot, and test DR failovers using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
· HCI & Hardware Support: Support hyper-converged platforms (Nutanix, Cisco HyperFlex, HPE SimpliVity) and manage blade servers (Cisco UCS, HP, Dell).
· Performance & Provisioning: Monitor infrastructure health, optimize performance, allocate resources, and assist with capacity planning.
· Collaboration: Work with L1/L3 teams on incident resolution, root cause analysis, and maintain system documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Core Tech: Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (vCenter/ESXi).
· Upgrade Tools: Proven experience with Lifecycle Manager (vLCM), Update Manager (VUM), or CLI-based upgrades.
· DR & HCI: Solid understanding of VMware SRM and familiarity with Nutanix, HyperFlex, or SimpliVity.
· Networking & Storage: Good grasp of virtual networking and storage (vDS, vSAN, NFS, iSCSI).
· Bonus Skills: Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and standard virtualization monitoring tools.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
