Job Overview
Zaoq is looking for a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie (Continental) to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in preparing Continental cuisine while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
The role requires independently managing the Continental section, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, maintaining hygiene standards, and coordinating effectively with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Continental dishes as per restaurant recipes and quality standards.
- Independently manage the Continental section during service hours.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of all dishes.
- Prepare soups, sauces, salads, pasta, sandwiches, grilled items, steaks, and other Continental specialties.
- Maintain mise en place and ensure timely preparation before service.
- Coordinate with the Sous Chef and kitchen team for smooth daily operations.
- Monitor inventory and assist in stock management and ordering requirements.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food ingredients.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, equipment, and kitchen area.
- Support timely preparation of orders during peak service hours.

Required Skills & QualificationsCulinary Skills
- Strong knowledge of Continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Experience in preparing soups, sauces, pasta, risotto, grilled dishes, steaks, sandwiches, salads, and appetizers.
- Knowledge of food plating, garnishing, and presentation.
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and modern cooking methods.
Operational Skills
- Ability to independently manage the Continental section.
- Knowledge of inventory control and stock management.
- Understanding of food cost control and minimizing wastage.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
