Job Summary:
The Football Coach is responsible for developing students' football skills, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, while preparing teams for inter-school and competitive tournaments. The coach ensures a safe, motivating, and inclusive training environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct football coaching sessions for students of different age groups.
- Teach football fundamentals, techniques, tactics, and game strategies.
- Identify and nurture talented players for school teams and competitions.
- Organize regular practice sessions, fitness drills, and skill development activities.
- Prepare teams for inter-school, district, state, and national tournaments.
- Foster discipline, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship among students.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during training and matches.
- Monitor players' performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Maintain sports equipment, football grounds, and training materials.
- Coordinate with school management for sports events, fixtures, and tournaments.
- Keep attendance and performance records of students.
- Encourage healthy lifestyle habits and physical fitness among students.
- Stay updated with modern coaching techniques, rules, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed.) or equivalent.
- Football coaching certification from a recognized organization (preferred).
- Prior coaching experience in schools, academies, or sports clubs is desirable.
