Project Engineer/ Site Engineer - Civil to spearhead turnkey projects, leveraging expertise in civil engineering for steel fabrication and modular construction in East Africa's dynamic market.
Job Summary
Direct civil-focused aspects of multimillion-dollar turnkey initiatives, from site preparation and foundation works to full project handover, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and OHSAS standards.
This leadership role targets professionals with 10-15 years in India's construction sector, managing complex deliveries like pre-fab structures and industrial builds.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee civil engineering scopes in turnkey projects: earthworks, concrete foundations, drainage, and site infrastructure integrated with structural steel and pre-fab elements. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineers, contractors, procurement) for on-time, on-budget execution at site and factory.
Handle client/stakeholder relations, risk assessments, regulatory approvals (e.g., URA, NEMA), and value engineering to optimize costs in regional projects.
Drive feasibility studies, BOQs, and post-project reviews to support Company's growth in companies other sectors and heavy fabrication turnkeys.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's in Civil Engineering.
10-15 years in civil project management and leading turnkey EPC contracts valued at $2M+ in construction/fabrication.
Proven experience in civil works for industrial, campsite, office, or residential pre-fab projects.
Essential Skills & Experience
Technical proficiency: Civil design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro), soil mechanics, reinforced concrete standards (BS, Eurocode).
Leadership: Directed 30+ teams on fast-track projects; contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and supply chain mgmt.
Business acumen: Budget forecasting, change order handling, and alignment with Uganda's infrastructure boom..
