Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
Responsible for managing calibration of measuring instruments and maintaining quality documentation as per company standards and customer requirements. Ensure compliance with quality systems and support audits.
Key Responsibilities:Calibration Management:
- Plan and execute calibration of all measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.)
- Maintain calibration master list and schedule
- Coordinate with external calibration agencies (NABL certified labs)
- Ensure all instruments are calibrated within due dates
- Maintain calibration records and certificates
- Identify and control non-calibrated or out-of-calibration instruments
Documentation Control:
- Prepare and maintain quality documents like SOPs, WI (Work Instructions), formats, and records
- Handle document control system (issue, revision, obsolescence)
- Ensure proper record keeping as per ISO/IATF standards
- Maintain inspection reports, calibration reports, and quality logs
- Support PPAP, APQP, FMEA documentation
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures
- Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949)
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA)
- Monitor quality KPIs and maintain reports
Coordination & Compliance:
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and stores for quality-related activities
- Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of calibration systems and instruments
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Understanding of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards
- Basic knowledge of quality tools (7 QC tools, CAPA, RCA)
- Good communication and MS Excel skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing industry (CNC/VMC/Automobile preferred)
- Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA
- Familiarity with audit processes

- Quality rejection rate
