Job Title : Financial Accountant
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Financial Accountant is responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, and supporting the financial operations of design and architectural projects. The role involves project accounting, budget monitoring, client invoicing, consultant payments, cash flow management, and ensuring financial information accuracy to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and local tax laws (e.g., GST, TDS).
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Process payroll, expense claims, and reimbursements.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost analysis.
- Monitor variances and provide recommendations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure adherence to regulatory
- Conduct internal audits and maintain internal controls.
- Liaise with regional finance teams for reporting and alignment.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSThe minimum qualifications for this role are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certifications (CA Inter, CPA, CMA) are a plus.
- 6-7 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software (Deltek or other ERP systems).
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
