Senior Accountant
Location- Shree Raj Jewellers

Shree Raj Jewellers is looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Accountant to lead the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy, statutory compliance, and effective financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in accounting, taxation, inventory management, and financial controls, preferably within the jewellery retail industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Oversee and manage the company's complete accounting functions.
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor general ledger, trial balance, profit & loss account, and balance sheet.
- Review journal entries and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain statutory records and documentation.
Banking & Cash Management
- Manage daily cash flow and banking operations.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
- Monitor payments, receipts, and fund utilization.
- Supervise cash handling and internal controls.
Inventory & Jewellery Accounting
- Monitor jewellery inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- Verify stock movement between branches and warehouses.
- Reconcile physical stock with accounting records.
- Track bullion purchases, manufacturing expenses, and wastage.
- Coordinate with the inventory and showroom teams to ensure stock accuracy.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor vendor payments and customer receivables.
- Review outstanding balances and ensure timely collections.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and payment schedules.
Payroll & Administration
- Supervise payroll processing and statutory deductions.
- Review employee reimbursements and expense claims.
- Ensure compliance with labour-related financial requirements.
Financial Reporting & MIS
- Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
Team Management
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounts assistants.
- Allocate work and ensure timely completion of accounting activities.
- Improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com).
- CA Inter, CMA, M.Com, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of accounting experience.
- Minimum 2 years in a Senior Accountant role.
- Experience in the jewellery retail industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime/ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in financial reporting and MIS preparation.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.

Salary
As per company standards and candidate experience.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
