Linen & Guest Laundry Operations Ensure timely washing, drying, ironing, folding, and delivery of: Guest clothes Room linen Towels Staff uniforms Spa/pool linen Maintain daily laundry turnaround time as per resort standards. Ensure zero mix-up of guest garments. 2. Quality Control Maintain high standards of cleanliness, stain removal, freshness, and finishing. Check all linen and garments for: Stains Tears Discoloration Damage Ensure proper ironing and presentation quality. Reduce linen rejection percentage. 3. Linen Inventory Management Maintain accurate count of: Bedsheets Pillow covers Towels Napkins Uniforms Report shortages, damage, or losses immediately. Support periodic linen stock audits. 4. Machine Handling & Maintenance Operate laundry machines safely and efficiently: Washing machines Dryers Steam press/irons Flatwork ironers Ensure correct chemical dosage and wash cycles. Report machine breakdowns promptly. Maintain daily cleaning of equipment. 5. Chemical & Hygiene Management Use laundry chemicals safely as per SOP. Follow hygiene and sanitation standards. Ensure proper segregation: White linen Colored linen Soiled/infected linen Maintain clean laundry work area at all times. 6. Guest Service Standards Handle guest laundry professionally and confidentially. Meet committed delivery timelines. Minimize guest complaints related to laundry. Ensure polite communication with housekeeping and guests. 7. Cost Control & Linen Life Enhancement Reduce linen damage due to: Incorrect washing Overheating Wrong chemical usage Minimize water, electricity, and detergent wastage. Follow proper linen handling to increase linen life. 8. Coordination with Departments Coordinate with: Housekeeping Front Office Spa F&B Ensure smooth movement of linen across departments. Support occupancy-based linen planning. 9. Safety & Compliance Follow fire safety and electrical safety norms. Use PPE where required. Follow resort grooming and hygiene standards. Adhere to labour and safety compliance policies.
