Kusumagiri Mental Health Center at Kakkanad, Ernakulam, Kerala is a charitable institution run by Medical Sisters of St. Joseph, Nirmala Province under the registered society, Kusumagiri Mental Health Centre. We take care of different types of people of all ages, mentally affected children/ adolescents and adults regardless of their race, creed, sex, religion, socio – economic status or professional status. Our activities in the centre include, running psychiatric Hospital, De-addiction treatment for alcoholics, Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic and Guidance Unit, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center, Teachers Training Institute for Autism and training for Autistic children.
Job Summary
Staff Nurse appointed in Kusumagiri Mental Health Center is a first-level professional nurse who provides direct patient care to any patients/beneficiaries assigned to her/him during the duty shift.
Qualification:
- Should have completed B.Sc Nursing/GNM
- Should have 0 to 2 years experience
Responsibilities :
- She will follow doctor’s rounds and carry out the orders.
- She will prepare articles and the patient for medical or nursing procedures.
- Report all important matters in time to the ward supervisor/authorities concerned.
- She will observe record and report the vital signs of the patients under care.
- While on duty, she will hold all duties and responsibilities of the ward sister or the department head in their absence.
