Assistant Manager – Logistics

About the Role
Custiv is looking for an Assistant Manager – Logistics to own and manage the end-to-end logistics function across all customer projects and RFQs. This is an individual contributor role responsible for ensuring seamless domestic and international logistics operations, from freight planning and vendor management to customs clearance and final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Own the complete logistics function for all Custiv projects and RFQs.
· Obtain and evaluate freight quotations for domestic and international shipments.
· Coordinate shipments by air, sea, and road, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
· Arrange pickups from manufacturing partner facilities and coordinate with transporters.
· Manage relationships with freight forwarders, transporters, shipping lines, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers.
· Handle export/import documentation and customs clearance activities.
· Ensure compliance with Indian and international trade regulations.
· Possess strong knowledge of customs tariffs, import/export duties, HS Codes, Incoterms, and applicable trade agreements.
· Identify opportunities to optimize logistics costs through duty optimization, trade agreements, export incentive schemes, and efficient shipping strategies while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
· Develop optimized packaging solutions that ensure product safety while minimizing package dimensions, volumetric weight, and overall shipping costs.
· Recommend appropriate packaging materials and methods for air, sea, and road shipments based on product type and customer requirements.
· Coordinate with manufacturing and packaging teams to ensure safe, damage-free transportation of products.
· Track shipments proactively and resolve logistics-related issues.
· Negotiate freight rates and optimize logistics costs.
· Work closely with the Sales, Project Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to support project execution.
· Provide logistics cost estimates and shipping recommendations during the RFQ stage.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, export/import operations, or supply chain.
· Strong knowledge of international logistics, customs procedures, tariffs, duties, and global trade regulations.
· Good understanding of air, sea, and road transportation.
· Experience with customs clearance and export/import documentation.
· Sound knowledge of HS Codes, Incoterms, import/export duties, and trade compliance.
· Knowledge of packaging optimization, volumetric weight calculations, export packaging standards, and safe packaging practices to minimize logistics costs while ensuring product protection.
· Ability to identify opportunities to reduce freight and duty costs while maintaining regulatory compliance.
· Strong vendor management, negotiation, and coordination skills.
· Good communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or logistics management systems is an advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
