About the Role We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's Finance, Accounts, Treasury, Regulatory Compliance, Taxation, MIS, Audit, and Financial Strategy functions. The ideal candidate is a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in Banking, NBFC, Housing Finance, Financial Services, or Lending organizations. The candidate should possess strong expertise in financial planning, treasury management, RBI compliance, statutory reporting, budgeting, taxation, internal controls, and strategic financial leadership. The CFO will work closely with the Board of Directors, CEO, Audit Committee, and senior leadership to ensure financial stability, regulatory compliance, profitability, and long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Strategy & Business Planning Develop and execute the organization's long-term financial strategy aligned with business objectives. Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic planning. Provide financial insights to the Board and senior leadership on profitability, capital allocation, and sustainable growth. Support expansion initiatives and strategic business decisions. 2. Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance Oversee the preparation and accuracy of: Financial Statements Profit & Loss Account Balance Sheet Cash Flow Statements MIS & Management Reports Ensure compliance with RBI, MCA, Income Tax, GST, ROC, and other statutory requirements. Oversee statutory, internal, tax, operational, and system audits. Ensure timely submission of RBI returns, GST returns, tax filings, and statutory reports. 3. Treasury & Fund Management Manage treasury operations, liquidity planning, and working capital. Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, borrowings, and fund utilization. Monitor cash flow and investment strategies. Ensure efficient financial resource allocation across the organization. 4. Risk Management & Internal Controls Strengthen financial governance and internal control frameworks. Develop financial policies, SOPs, and risk mitigation processes. Monitor operational, financial, regulatory, and credit risks. Drive compliance with corporate governance standards. 5. Profitability & Business Performance Analyze profitability across branches, products, and business segments. Monitor financial KPIs and operational performance. Recommend initiatives to improve ROI, yield, margins, and operational efficiency. Drive cost optimization across business functions. 6. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead annual budgeting and periodic financial forecasting. Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions. Monitor departmental budgets and expenditure controls. 7. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead and mentor the Finance, Accounts, Treasury, Taxation, MIS, and Audit teams. Present financial performance to the Board, Audit Committee, ALCO, lenders, and investors. Partner with Operations, Business, HR, IT, and Legal teams to support business objectives. 8. NBFC Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with: RBI Master Directions NBFC Regulations DNBS Returns CRILC Reporting ALM Reporting SBR Framework KYC / AML Guidelines Fair Practices Code Statutory registrations and renewals 9. Technology & Financial Transformation Drive ERP implementation and finance automation initiatives. Strengthen MIS, business intelligence, and financial analytics. Support digital finance transformation and process improvements. Lead financial evaluation of new products, branches, and strategic initiatives. 10. Investor Relations & Credit Rating Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and rating agencies. Support debt raising, funding, and credit rating exercises. Present financial performance to external stakeholders. 11. Organizational Leadership Provide strategic oversight for: Finance & Accounts Treasury Taxation MIS & Business Analytics Internal Audit Branch Finance Financial Controls Automation & Process Improvement Required Qualifications Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience Experience in NBFC, Banking, Housing Finance, Financial Services, or Lending organizations is strongly preferred. Proven leadership experience managing finance teams. Strong knowledge of RBI regulations, financial reporting standards, taxation, treasury, and regulatory compliance.
