Position: Academic Counselor
Location: Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full-time | On-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel students and parents regarding academic programs, courses, and career opportunities.
- Understand students’ academic backgrounds, interests, and career goals and recommend suitable programs.
- Provide accurate information about courses, eligibility, admission procedures, and fees.
- Handle student enquiries through calls, walk-ins, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain regular follow-ups and update student information in CRM systems.
- Coordinate with admission teams and institutions to ensure smooth application processing.
- Conduct counseling sessions, presentations, and student orientation programs.
- Achieve assigned admission/enrollment targets and maintain high student satisfaction.
- Stay updated on new courses, universities/institutions, admission requirements, and education trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in academic counseling, admissions, education, EdTech, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong convincing, counseling, and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to understand student requirements and provide appropriate guidance.
- Good follow-up and relationship-management skills.
- Comfortable working with targets and deadlines.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills may also be considered.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
