- OT I/c will attend hospital duties on time in clean uniforms provided.
· Will maintain decorum & see that discipline is maintained in the hospital.
· OT I/c Will not only assist in surgeries and but also scrub and help in surgeries.
· Should bring to the notice of the Nursing Head/ Med. Coordinator regards any misconduct / misbehavior of staff placed under him/her.
· Supervise & Ensure all OT Records / Registers are maintained.
· Supervise & ensure that all Inventory in crash cart & other are maintained regularly before & after OT procedure.
· OT Instruments and OT Equipments are in perfect working condition. OT I/c will regularly check preventive maintenance of all instruments and equipments.
· OT I/c will coordinate with the Bio Medical Engineer / Maintenance Dept for the optimal and best use of OTs.
· Will ensure all OTs and related area are disinfected properly before OT and Cleaned & arranged after OT procedure.
· Supervise daily that Pre / Post ward is regularly cleaned, deep cleaned and are in perfect working order.
· Coordinate with Nursing Head / Medical Coordinator to ensure that disinfection of OTs is carried out regularly.
· OT I/c will ensure good coordination with Pharmacy, Laundry & CSSD Dept.
· OT I/c will immediately respond to OT duty whenever called.
· OT I/c on duty will not leave the hospital premises without written permission of Nursing Head /Medical Coordinator.
· Assign & supervise duties of Nursing, OT Technicians, attendants and other staff.
· OT I/c will comply with all hospital infection control practices & maintain related documents.
· Comply and supervise that all orders prior to surgery, are carried out and documented.
· To see that OT Clearance is obtained prior to taking the patient for surgery.
· Assign & supervise to send & receive items to CSSD and maintain proper records.
· Assign & supervise duty to send and receive linen to linen store and maintain record
· Ensure that patient files after surgery are updated, anesthetic and surgical notes and post operative notes are written.
· In case of break-down of any machinery, instruments, equipments/ facilities etc. report to be sent immediately to B M Eng. and/or maintenance dept. and take all safety precautions Document and inform all SENTINEL events to authorities immediately.
· Guide, supervise & check BMW disposal is properly done as per guide lines.
· Guide Supervise and help in transporting patient to OT and other areas as may be required. .
· To generate and submit all related MIS reports to reporting authority.
· To perform tasks, duties etc assignments given by management from time to time. 5 year or More Experience require.
