Who are we looking for:
We are seeking a Light Technician who is detail-oriented and committed to supporting smooth event operations. The role involves coordinating show bookings and schedules with the office, working closely with the light engineer for timely setup, and assisting with the installation and dismantling of lighting equipment. The candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance tasks, including checking cables, dimmers, patch bays, bulb holders, and fixtures, and ensuring all equipment is clean and in proper working condition.
Key Responsilbilites:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Checking of show bookings and requirements for the show from the office.
- Show and Rehearsal timings and show schedules to be taken from office.
- Coordinate with the light engineer for setup on the required days/dates.
- Assist with light setup and the dismantling of lights after each show
- Checking of lighting power cables and boxes – monthly / after every show
- Checking of bulb holders – monthly / after every show
- Cleaning of light fixtures – monthly
- Checking of dmx extension cables – monthly / after every show
- Cleaning and checking of patch bays – monthly
- Assist the light team with day-to-day activities.
- Checking of dimmer patch plugs – monthly / after every show
- Checking of Inventory every Month
- Taking stock of consumables.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of work experience.
- Basic communication in English.
- Good oral communication in Tamil.
- Ability to work and coordinate with a team of proficient and well-trained crew.
