Job Summary
The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service centre. The role is responsible for understanding customer concerns, preparing repair orders, coordinating with the workshop, providing service updates, ensuring timely vehicle delivery, and delivering an excellent customer experience while achieving service and sales targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Welcome customers and understand their vehicle service and repair requirements.
- Conduct a preliminary vehicle inspection with the customer and record concerns accurately.
- Explain recommended repairs, maintenance requirements, costs, and estimated completion time.
- Obtain customer approval before commencing repairs or carrying out additional work.
- Ensure a professional and courteous customer experience throughout the service process.
Service Coordination
- Prepare accurate job cards/repair orders with complete customer and vehicle details.
- Coordinate with workshop supervisors and technicians for timely repair and maintenance.
- Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to delivery commitments.
- Keep customers informed about service status, delays, and additional repair requirements.
- Ensure quality checks are completed before vehicle delivery.
Vehicle Delivery
- Review completed work and explain repairs, replaced parts, and maintenance recommendations to customers.
- Ensure all documentation, invoices, and warranty claims are completed accurately.
- Deliver vehicles on time and obtain customer acknowledgment.
Sales & Business Development
- Promote preventive maintenance, service packages, accessories, extended warranties, and value-added services.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling while meeting customer needs.
- Achieve monthly service revenue and customer satisfaction targets.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards, invoices, and customer history.
- Follow manufacturer and company service processes and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, warranty, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in automotive service management is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
