An Architectural Draftsman transforms preliminary design concepts, hand sketches, and structural specifications into detailed, high-precision technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms such as AutoCAD and Revit. Responsible for creating comprehensive floor plans, elevations, cross-sections, and building details, the draftsman ensures that every schematic strictly adheres to local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry construction standards. In this role, the draftsman collaborates closely with architects, structural engineers, and construction teams to incorporate design revisions, specify dimensions and materials, and deliver complete construction document packages necessary for permit approvals and on-site building execution.
