Reporting To: Store Manager / Warehouse Executive / Inventory Head
Job Purpose
To support inventory and warehouse operations by maintaining stock records, monitoring material movement, ensuring accurate inventory control, and supporting smooth storage and dispatch activities in the food manufacturing plant.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packing materials, consumables, and finished goods.
- Monitor inward and outward stock movements.
- Ensure proper stock updating in ERP/manual registers.
- Assist in stock verification and cycle counting activities.
- Maintain stock accuracy and avoid inventory discrepancies.
2. Material Receiving & Dispatch
- Assist in receiving materials from vendors and transporters.
- Verify quantity, condition, and documentation of incoming materials.
- Coordinate dispatch of finished goods as per dispatch planning.
- Ensure proper documentation during material issue and dispatch.
3. Stock Monitoring
- Monitor minimum stock levels and inform seniors regarding shortages.
- Track slow-moving, non-moving, and expired materials.
- Support FIFO/FEFO implementation in warehouse operations.
- Ensure proper storage practices for food-grade materials.
4. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain:
- GRN (Goods Receipt Note)
- Material issue records
- Dispatch records
- Stock registers
- Inventory MIS reports
- Prepare daily stock reports and inventory summaries.
- Maintain proper filing of warehouse documents.
5. Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Production department
- Purchase department
- Quality department
- Dispatch team
- Ensure timely material availability for production requirements.
6. ERP & System Handling
- Update inventory transactions in ERP/software systems.
- Generate stock reports and material movement reports.
- Maintain accuracy of system inventory data.
7. Housekeeping & Safety
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organized storage.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards in storage areas.
- Ensure safe handling of materials and pallets.
- Support implementation of 5S activities in warehouse.
8. Audit & Compliance Support
- Support internal, external, and stock audits.
- Assist in reconciliation of physical stock and system stock.
- Maintain audit-ready inventory records and documentation.
