MuleSoft Engineer
As a MuleSoft Engineer in Darktrace’s TechOps Centre, you will help build, operate and mature our strategic enterprise integration capability. Using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, you will connect core business systems, customer platforms, data services, SaaS applications and partner ecosystems through reusable, secure and governed APIs. You will support API-led connectivity across System, Process and Experience APIs, with initial focus on Salesforce Service Cloud and Revenue Cloud, helping modernise the integration estate, reduce point-to-point connectivity and improve trusted data movement.

Design, build, test, deploy and support MuleSoft integrations and APIs using Mule 4 and Anypoint Platform.

Create reusable System, Process and Experience APIs aligned to API-led connectivity, architecture principles and agreed integration patterns.

Develop integrations for Salesforce Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Sales Cloud, Customer Portal, RT Line, Microsoft Fabric, Workday, Gainsight, Docebo, Impartner and other SaaS platforms.

Create DataWeave transformations for mapping, validation, filtering, enrichment and format conversion.

Produce RAML or OpenAPI specifications, interface documentation, data mappings, runbooks and support information.

Support synchronous, asynchronous, batch and event-driven patterns, including secure data movement into Microsoft Fabric.

Implement authentication, authorisation, encryption, error handling, logging, monitoring and performance controls.

Help migrate legacy and point-to-point integrations to governed MuleSoft patterns and reusable Anypoint Exchange assets.

Support CI/CD, automated testing, controlled releases, production support and incident root-cause analysis.

Practical experience as a MuleSoft Engineer, MuleSoft Developer, Integration Developer or similar hands-on integration role.

Strong experience with Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager and Anypoint Exchange.

Proficiency in DataWeave and API-led connectivity across enterprise integration patterns.

Experience designing REST and SOAP APIs using RAML or OpenAPI.

Good knowledge of JSON, XML, HTTP, OAuth 2.0, JWT and secure API design.

Experience with Git, Maven, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience integrating Salesforce, databases, SaaS applications, messaging services and third-party APIs.

Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Desirable: Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or Revenue Cloud; Microsoft Azure or Fabric; event-driven architecture; customer portals, partner platforms or marketplaces; API governance, observability, AI, analytics or automation use cases. MuleSoft Developer certification is desirable.
