As a barista, your primary responsibilities include:
- Interest in redefining what the cafe experience can be.
- Helping out with menu redesigning, experimenting with a variety of coffee drinks.
- Designing a daily opening & closing checklist with productive Bar Flow - Ergonomic arrangement of espresso machine, grinder, milk fridge to minimise barista steps and achieve sales output.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, or other beverages that adhere to quality standards and maintain cleanliness of service and seating areas.
- Monitoring the smooth work flow between the Back-of-House: dish, prep, storage, kitchen and Front of House: queue, service bar, seating.
- Providing excellent customer service by explaining the origin, taste of the beans, and communicating the roasting methods clearly to customers.
- Operating coffee brewing equipment like grinders, scales, timers, water towers, point of sale systems, and mobile payment systems.
- Keeping equipment in "museum quality" condition, clean and maintained.
- Promptly addressing customer service issues or guest needs and referring to management if and when necessary.
- Maintaining daily logs of inventories in the brew section and communicating clearly with management at all times for the restock.
- Creating authentic content showing the people behind the bar.
- Having a bit of fun engaging with customers!
