We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests, analyze samples, and ensure accurate reporting of diagnostic results. The candidate should be familiar with laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, label, and process patient specimens including blood, urine, and other body fluids.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests as per standard operating procedures.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and analyzers.
- Record test results accurately and prepare reports for review.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of specimens and laboratory waste.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate stock of laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Adhere to NABL/NABH guidelines, quality standards, and infection control protocols.
- Maintain laboratory documentation and records.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding test results.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory at all times.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Clinical Pathology.
- Hands-on experience with automated laboratory analyzers.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in hospital or diagnostic laboratory settings.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and accreditation standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
