Job Title: National Sales Head - Metrology

Role Summary
The National Sales Head will lead sales strategy and execution across the assigned region, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening relationships with key accounts and distribution partners. The role requires a hands-on, strategic sales leader with proven success in territory management, channel development and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a region-specific sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives and annual targets.
- Achieve or exceed sales revenue, margin and profitability targets for the region.
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, distributors, wholesalers and strategic partners.
- Lead territory planning, pipeline development, forecasting and deal negotiation to ensure reliable sales results.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new verticals, segments, and major accounts.
- Coach, mentor and (if applicable) manage regional sales representatives or channel managers; set objectives and conduct performance reviews.
- Coordinate with marketing and product teams on regional promotional activities, product launches and pricing strategies.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends; recommend product, pricing or go-to-market adjustments.
- Support major tenders, proposals and contract negotiations; work closely with technical and after-sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines and legal/regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.
- 10+ years’ proven sales experience, with at least 5 years in a regional or territory management role. Experience in [insert industry if preferred — e.g., industrial equipment, manufacturing, is an advantage.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and managing key accounts or distribution channels.
- Experience leading or supervising a sales team, ideally in a multi-location or cross-border environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic sales planning ability.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven approach: ability to use CRM and sales analytics to drive decisions (experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar preferred).
- Good financial understanding: margin management, pricing and P&L awareness.
- Strong organizational skills, territory planning and time management.
- Leadership qualities: coaching, motivation and conflict resolution.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills a plus.
- Languages: Fluent in [English and/or French; add local language if relevant].

Working Conditions & Travel
