Job Summary
HEC Enviro India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of environmental infrastructure and waste management projects. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted operations, effective manpower deployment, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, statutory compliance, and project performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience in handling municipal or government projects related to waste management, environmental services, water & wastewater treatment, or infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall operations and maintenance of assigned project sites.
- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of all equipment, machinery, and utilities.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Supervise installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and utilities.
- Monitor daily plant operations to ensure optimum performance, productivity, and equipment availability.
- Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, operators, technicians, drivers, and other field personnel.
- Ensure proper manpower planning, shift management, attendance monitoring, and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with clients, government authorities, municipal corporations, contractors, and vendors for smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, operational KPIs, and client service standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
- Monitor equipment performance, fuel consumption, spare parts inventory, maintenance costs, and resource utilization.
- Coordinate breakdown maintenance and ensure timely restoration of operations.
- Maintain equipment history records, maintenance logs, service reports, and statutory documentation.
- Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS reports and submit operational updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, safety, and company regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections and promote adherence to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
- Support project mobilization, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely availability of spare parts, consumables, and maintenance materials.
- Participate in client meetings and resolve operational and technical issues effectively.
- Continuously monitor project performance and recommend operational improvements.

Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience :
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in Operations & Maintenance.
- Experience in waste management, environmental projects, water & wastewater treatment, STP, WTP, septage management, municipal services, facility management, or infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in leading and managing operational teams, including engineers, supervisors, operators, and field staff.
- Experience in handling government, municipal corporation, or public sector projects will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, manpower planning, client coordination, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in preparing operational reports, maintenance schedules, MIS, and performance monitoring.

- Candidate should be based in Mumbai or willing to relocate.
- Must be comfortable travelling extensively to project sites across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and nearby locations as per operational requirements.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic, field-oriented environment with frequent site visits.
