Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on and technically skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of plant equipment and machinery. The role will focus on preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment performance, and coordination with the Operations team to minimize downtime and ensure safe plant operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment & Plant Maintenance
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Maintain pumps, heat exchangers, reactors/process equipment, motors, gearboxes, valves and related equipment.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify potential failures.
- Ensure reliability and proper functioning of critical plant equipment.
Electrical & Instrumentation
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical panels, motors, cables, switches and electrical systems.
- Identify electrical faults and coordinate corrective maintenance.
- Monitor basic instrumentation and control systems.
- Ensure electrical equipment is maintained safely and efficiently.
Breakdown & Troubleshooting
- Attend equipment breakdowns and take immediate corrective action.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and identify root causes.
- Coordinate with operators and the Production team to resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, repairs and corrective actions.
Preventive Maintenance & Spares
- Prepare and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain maintenance checklists and equipment history records.
- Identify critical spare parts and ensure availability.
- Coordinate with vendors and external technicians.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all plant safety procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, LOTO and Permit-to-Work procedures.
- Identify maintenance-related safety risks and take corrective action.
- Maintain maintenance and inspection documentation.
Reporting & Improvement
- Prepare daily and periodic maintenance reports.
- Monitor equipment downtime and maintenance performance.
- Suggest improvements to increase equipment reliability and reduce breakdowns.
- Coordinate with Operations to improve plant availability.
Candidate Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or process industries.
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with pumps, heat exchangers, process equipment, electrical panels, motors, valves and plant machinery.
- Experience in chemical, process, manufacturing, pyrolysis, waste-to-fuel or similar industrial plants will be preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good equipment inspection and preventive maintenance skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work at the plant site and attend breakdown/emergency maintenance requirements when necessary.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
