We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Tea Taster Trainee to join our Tea Tasting & Purchase team. The candidate will assist senior tea tasters in evaluating tea quality, preparing tasting samples, and supporting tea procurement activities. This role is ideal for candidates who want to build a long-term career in the tea industry.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in tea tasting and quality evaluation of different tea samples.
Prepare tea samples for tasting including boiling water, measuring tea, and arranging tasting sets.
Maintain tasting notes, records, and sample details properly.
Support the team in tea procurement and auction sample analysis.
Help in sorting, labeling, and organizing tea samples.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the tea tasting room and equipment.
Assist senior tea tasters in tea quality comparison and market sample analysis.
Learn about different tea grades, tea origins, and flavour profiles.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Candidates who have completed any Tea Tasting / Tea Management / Tea related course are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with experience working in a Bought Leaf Factory (BLF) or tea manufacturing unit can also apply.
Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of experience in the tea industry.
Strong sense of taste and smell.
Interest in building a long-term career in tea tasting and tea procurement.
Preferred Skills
Basic knowledge of tea grades, tea processing, and tea quality parameters.
Good observation and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a team environment.
