KOT Reader
Position: KOT Reader (Kitchen Order Ticket Reader)
Industry: Restaurant / Hotel
Location: Alappuzha
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and read Kitchen Order Tickets (KOTs) generated from the restaurant billing/POS system.
- Communicate food orders accurately to kitchen staff and ensure timely preparation.
- Coordinate between service staff and kitchen teams to ensure smooth order flow.
- Monitor order status and follow up on pending or delayed orders.
- Verify that prepared items match the KOT before dispatch to service staff.
- Ensure special instructions, customer preferences, and modifications are communicated correctly.
- Assist in maintaining proper order records and documentation.
- Support restaurant operations during peak service hours.
- Report any discrepancies in orders to the Restaurant Manager or Kitchen Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Plus Two / Any Degree.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with POS systems preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is an added advantage.
