Job Title: LMV Driver – Raw Material Pick-up & Delivery
Department: Stores / Logistics / Purchase
Reports To: Stores Manager / Logistics In-charge
Job Purpose
To ensure the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of raw materials, components, and related documents between suppliers, warehouses, and company locations while maintaining vehicle safety, material integrity, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up raw materials, bought-out items, tools, and consumables from vendors as per the purchase schedule.
- Deliver materials to company plants, warehouses, or designated locations safely and on time.
- Verify material quantity, package condition, challans, invoices, e-way bills, and other dispatch documents before loading and unloading.
- Obtain necessary acknowledgements and proof of delivery from vendors and company stores.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Stores, and Logistics teams regarding pickup schedules and delivery status.
- Ensure safe loading, unloading, and proper securing of materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Report shortages, excesses, damaged materials, or delivery discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks, fuel records, trip sheets, and kilometre readings accurately.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair requirements.
- Ensure timely servicing, insurance, PUC, and other statutory documents are always valid.
- Follow all traffic regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Assist in urgent material movement between company locations whenever required.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the assigned vehicle.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10th /12th/Graduation degree.
- Valid LMV Driving Licence.
- Basic understanding of delivery documentation (Invoice, Delivery Challan, E-way Bill, GRN, etc.).
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of LMV driving experience.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Safe and defensive driving practices.
- Knowledge of local and interstate routes.
- Basic understanding of stores and logistics documentation.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Responsible, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to handle materials carefully and maintain confidentiality where required.

- 100% on-time material pickups and deliveries.
- Zero accidents due to negligent driving.
- Zero material loss or damage during transportation.
- Accurate and timely submission of trip records and delivery documents.
- Compliance with vehicle maintenance schedules and statutory requirements.
- Minimal vehicle downtime and efficient fuel utilization.
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
