Rewired Reels is building a global media and entertainment business focused on content acquisition, distribution, licensing, localization, and digital media partnerships.
We work across markets to identify quality content, build partnerships with content owners and producers, and create opportunities for content to reach new audiences across digital, OTT, television, and other distribution channels.
About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Executive – Media & Entertainment who can identify and develop new business opportunities across the content ecosystem.
The role will involve working with content producers, studios, production houses, broadcasters, OTT platforms, distributors, MCNs, YouTube creators, and other content owners to build acquisition, licensing, distribution and commercial partnerships.
This is a hands-on business development role for someone who is comfortable with research, outreach, relationship building, negotiations and closing partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential content owners, producers, studios, distributors and media companies across India and international markets.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential content acquisition and distribution partners.
- Conduct market research to identify new content, creators, IPs and emerging opportunities.
- Initiate outreach through email, LinkedIn, calls, industry networks and other channels.
- Understand partner requirements and identify suitable commercial opportunities.
- Coordinate discussions related to content licensing, acquisition, distribution and localization.
- Prepare company presentations, partnership proposals and commercial discussions.
- Negotiate with partners under the guidance of senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, discussions, proposals and partnership status.
- Coordinate with internal teams for due diligence, legal agreements, content evaluation and onboarding.
- Track developments across OTT, television, digital platforms, YouTube, social media and international content markets.
- Represent Rewired Reels in relevant industry meetings, events and conferences.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, media sales, content acquisition, licensing, distribution, OTT or entertainment.
- Strong understanding of the media and entertainment ecosystem.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong research and lead-generation abilities.
- Ability to approach senior professionals and build relationships from scratch.
- Strong negotiation and commercial understanding.
- Comfortable working with international clients and partners.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and CRM/business research tools.
