We also operate tok2022.com, a leading Theory of Knowledge learning resource visited by over 12,000 students and teachers monthly. We're a lean, focused team looking to build organic, compounding growth channels and reduce our reliance on paid advertising.
Role Overview
We're hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist with deep technical SEO expertise to own our organic growth. This is a hands-on, results-driven role for someone who can take two existing websites from low visibility to category-leading rankings, build a content engine from scratch, and make us discoverable in both traditional search and AI-powered search. If you think in terms of search intent, content clusters, and measurable traffic growth, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Technical SEO (Primary Focus)
- Conduct full technical SEO audits of sev7n.co.in and tok2022.com (site speed, crawlability, indexing, mobile usability, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, broken links, site architecture).
- Implement and maintain on-page SEO: title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, internal linking, image optimization, and structured data (schema.org).
- Manage and monitor Google Search Console — fix indexing issues, monitor coverage, submit sitemaps, track query performance.
- Use SEMrush (or Ahrefs) for keyword research, competitor analysis, site audits, position tracking, and content gap analysis.
- Build a clean URL structure and fix technical debt on the existing (dated) website during/after redesign.
Keyword Strategy & Content SEO
- Research and map high-intent keywords for IB, Cambridge, SAT, and AP tutoring across the parent/student buyer journey.
- Build topic clusters and pillar-page content strategies around curriculum-specific search demand.
- Plan, write, and optimize SEO blog posts (e.g., "How to score a 7 in IB Math," "SAT vs AP — what parents should know," "IB Theory of Knowledge essay guide").
- Optimize tok2022.com content to convert its high organic traffic into membership signups.
Backlink & Authority Building
- Develop and execute an off-page SEO / link-building strategy (guest posts, digital PR, educational directories, partnerships, resource-page outreach).
- Build domain authority ethically (white-hat only) and monitor backlink profile health, disavowing toxic links as needed.
AEO & GEO (Answer & Generative Engine Optimization)
- Optimize content to appear in Google AI Overviews, featured snippets, and "People Also Ask" boxes.
- Structure content (FAQs, concise answers, schema, entity optimization) to be cited by AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
- Track and improve brand visibility in AI/generative search results.
Analytics & Reporting
- Own Google Analytics (GA4) — set up goals/conversions, track organic performance, traffic sources, and funnel behavior.
- Report monthly on rankings, organic traffic, leads, conversions, and membership signups with clear, actionable insights.
Conversion & Funnel Support
- Improve on-site conversion: lead capture, membership signup flow on tok2022.com, and landing-page optimization.
- Support email marketing for lead nurturing and member conversion.
Broader Marketing (Coordination)
- Coordinate with our external social media/ads team to ensure SEO, content, and paid efforts are aligned.
- Provide keyword and content input to support paid campaign quality scores.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience with demonstrable ranking/traffic results (please share case studies or examples).
- Strong technical SEO knowledge — audits, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, indexing, site architecture.
- Proficiency with SEMrush and/or Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Proven content SEO skills — keyword research, content clusters, and the ability to write or closely direct SEO blog content.
- Experience with backlink/link-building strategies (white-hat).
- Working knowledge of AEO and GEO — optimizing for featured snippets, AI Overviews, and generative search engines.
- Understanding of WordPress or similar CMS; comfort with basic on-page implementation (no advanced coding required, but HTML/basic technical fluency is a plus).
- Excellent written English and the ability to create education-focused content.
- Strong analytical mindset — comfortable interpreting data and turning it into action.
Nice to Have
- Experience in education / EdTech, especially with international curricula (IB, Cambridge, SAT, AP).
- Familiarity with Google Ads and Meta Ads (to coordinate with the existing team).
- Experience monetizing content-heavy/high-traffic websites through memberships or subscriptions.
- Basic graphic/content tool familiarity (Canva, etc.).
