Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and technically competent Technical Trainer with 5+ years of experience in Wind Energy Operations & Maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering technical training programs for Engineers, Technicians, Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs), Diploma Engineer Trainees (DETs), and field service teams.
Key Responsibilities Technical Training & Development
- Design, prepare, and deliver structured technical training programs for field engineers and technicians.
- Conduct induction training for newly joined employees before site deployment.
- Develop competency-based learning modules, presentations, SOPs, technical manuals, work instructions, and assessment materials.
- Deliver classroom sessions, simulator-based training (where applicable), and practical field demonstrations.
- Conduct refresher and advanced technical training programs for experienced employees.
- Train teams on preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.
Wind Turbine Technical Training
Provide technical training on:
- Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) systems
- Mechanical maintenance
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Pitch & Yaw systems
- Gearbox maintenance
- Generator systems
- Brake systems
- Transformer & Switchgear basics
- SCADA monitoring and fault diagnostics
- PLC fundamentals
- Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Fault finding and troubleshooting methodologies
Safety Training
Conduct and certify employees on:
- Working at Height
- Tower Climbing Safety
- Tower Rescue Procedures
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Electrical Safety
- Mechanical Safety
- Fire Fighting & Emergency Response
- PPE Standards
- First Aid Awareness
- Permit to Work (PTW)
- Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- Incident Reporting & Investigation
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare annual and monthly training calendars.
- Maintain training attendance, competency records, assessment reports, and certification databases.
- Develop technical reference documents, troubleshooting guides, and learning resources.
- Submit monthly MIS reports on training activities, participation, competency levels, and effectiveness.
Operational Support
- Provide technical guidance during major equipment failures.
- Support Operations teams with troubleshooting and best maintenance practices.
- Assist in standardizing maintenance procedures across all project sites.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and workforce capability.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification in Wind Energy, Safety Training, or Technical Training is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Wind Energy Operations & Maintenance.
- Prior experience in technical training, coaching, mentoring, or competency development is preferred.
- Experience handling training for GETs, DETs, Engineers, and Technicians is desirable.
Languages: Tamil, English, Hindi and other languages is an added advantage

- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel extensively across PAN India project locations.
Working Conditions
- Extensive travel across PAN India wind farm sites.
- Ability to climb wind turbine towers and work at heights.
- Comfortable working in remote project locations and outdoor environments.
- Flexibility to conduct training during shifts or weekends based on operational requirements.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
