Job Summary
The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and improving manufacturing activities to achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality, safety, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. The role involves coordinating with Design, Purchase, Quality, Stores, Dispatch, and Project teams to ensure smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor daily production activities as per production schedule.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
- Supervise fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and finishing operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings (GA, fabrication, P&ID, and isometric drawings).
- Coordinate with Design, QA/QC, Purchase, Stores, and Dispatch departments.
- Ensure production meets quality standards and customer specifications.
- Monitor production progress and submit Daily Production Reports (DPR).
- Minimize rejection, rework, scrap, and machine downtime.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company SOPs.
- Resolve shop-floor technical issues and support production teams.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with Stores to avoid production delays.
- Maintain production records, WIP status, and productivity reports.
- Support new product development and process improvements.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and delivery commitments.
Qualification
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
Experience
- 2–5 years in fabrication, manufacturing, pressure vessels, storage tanks, skid systems, or industrial equipment manufacturing.

Salary
As per candidate's experience, technical knowledge, and interview performance.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in SS/MS fabrication and tank manufacturing.
- Knowledge of pressure vessels, piping, structural fabrication, and machine assembly.
- Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills.
- Willing to work on the shop floor and at project sites whenever required.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
