The DAV Group - Chennai, was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students. The Group today, caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has a staff of 2000 plus which includes 1,700 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country.
In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.
Requisites:
- The applicant must have reasonable( At least 3 years) experience in handling accounts / Book keeping/ Tally and should have sound working knowledge on Accounting concepts, including PF / ESI / GST , etc.
- The applicant must preferably be a accounts degree holder. Experience in schools will be an added advantage.
The roles and responsibilities of the job would include and not be limited to:
- Handle the accounts of the schools and coordinate with the other departments for payroll and other activities
- Good command over English language.
- Must be a good team player to coordinate with different teams in the organization.
- Functional knowledge in MS Office suite, particularly Excel will be an added advantage
Accountant manages complex accounting operations, prepares accurate financial reports, and ensures regulatory compliance. They oversee the general ledger, drive month-end and year-end closes, and conduct variance analysis.
Compensation will commensurate with experience & calibre.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
