To provide psychological and emotional support, academic guidance, and career counseling to students, helping them achieve their full potential while maintaining mental well-being and overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal & Emotional Counseling:
- Provide one-on-one counseling to students dealing with stress, anxiety, academic pressure, personal or family issues.
- Identify and support students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Maintain confidentiality and a non-judgmental approach.
- Academic Guidance:
- Assist students in goal setting, time management, and study techniques.
- Support students facing academic difficulties or requiring learning support.
- Career Counseling:
- Guide students on career options, higher education, internships, and placement preparation.
- Conduct aptitude and interest assessments to suggest suitable career paths.
- Workshops & Awareness Sessions:
- Organize seminars and group sessions on mental health, stress management, soft skills, and personality development.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Maintain case records and counseling notes confidentially.
- Provide regular reports to management on student well-being trends and issues observed.
- Coordination:
- Liaise with faculty and parents (where appropriate) to address student issues.
- Refer students to external professionals when specialized support is required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Psychology / Counseling / Social Work or related field (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 plus years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational sector.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a student-centric approach.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and integrity.
Work Environment:
- Full-time role based on campus.
- May require occasional evening or weekend availability for sessions or events.
