Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to independently manage Plant HR Operations for our facility in Palakkad, Kerala. This hands-on role requires deep expertise in Statutory Compliance, Contractor Management, Employee Relations, and Payroll Administration for a 200+ workforce comprising both Blue-Collar workmen and White-Collar staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws:
- Ensure 100% adherence to the Factories Act / OSH Code, EPF, ESI, Minimum Wages Act, Contract Labour (R&A) Act, Payment of Bonus Act, and Gratuity.
- Maintain all statutory registers, records, licenses, and handle official labor department audits and government inspections.
- Maintain an active HR Compliance Calendar to prevent violations or penalties.
- Contractor & Vendor Management:
- Oversee manpower contractors, conduct worker onboarding, and audit monthly contractor billing.
- Validate PF/ESI challans, wage registers, and attendance records before processing contractor invoices.
- Implement a Contractor Compliance Scorecard to track contractor performance and adherence.
- Plant HR Operations & Payroll:
- Manage daily operations including attendance tracking, shift rosters, overtime (OT), and leave administration.
- Validate monthly payroll inputs and manage onboarding, transfers, disciplinary actions, and Full & Final (F&F) Settlements.
- Employee & Industrial Relations:
- Act as the primary HR presence on the plant floor.
- Handle grievance redressal, manage misconduct cases, and conduct domestic inquiries to maintain workforce discipline.
- Recruitment & Sourcing:
- Drive local sourcing for plant-level hiring (operators, technicians, helpers, drivers) through agencies and referral networks to ensure zero operational downtime.
- HR MIS & Analytics:
- Prepare daily/monthly HR MIS reports covering headcount, absenteeism, attrition rates, OT costs, and manpower budgets.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: MBA / PG Diploma in HR, Personnel Management, Labour Welfare, or Industrial Relations.
- Experience: 6–8 years of core HR experience in Plant Operations, Manufacturing, Waste Management, Recycling, Process Industry, or Logistics.
