Role overview
You will design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure across Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS, enabling fast, secure, and reliable software delivery. You will work closely with developers, QA, and security teams to automate builds, deployments, and infrastructure on multi‑cloud platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins as the primary build/orchestration tool, and complementary tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps where applicable.
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and AWS using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE, EKS, AKS or similar managed services).
- Configure and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or native cloud monitoring services.
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows in Jenkins (including parameterized builds, stages, pipelines‑as‑code, and integration with Git/Artifactory/Nexus).
- Implement and enforce security and compliance controls (IAM, network security, secrets management, vulnerability scanning) across all cloud environments.
- Support blue/green, canary, and rolling deployments and rollback mechanisms to minimize downtime and improve release reliability.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive improvements to reduce MTTR.
Required skills and qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE roles.
- Strong hands‑on experience with at least two of:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with hands‑on Jenkins usage (Groovy pipelines, shared libraries, plugins, integration with Git/Artifactory/Docker registries).
- Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Practical knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes – GKE/EKS/AKS).
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems, scripting (Bash/Shell and Python), and Git workflows.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (VPC, subnets, DNS, load balancers, firewalls) and basic security practices.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools and practices.
Nice‑to‑have
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Experience with serverless platforms (Cloud Functions, Azure Functions, AWS Lambda).
- Exposure to microservices architecture, service‑mesh concepts, and API‑gateway patterns.
- Cloud‑cost optimization and tagging practices.
- Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP or Jenkins‑related credentials (e.g., cloud‑DevOps or CKA).
Soft skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to document CI/CD pipelines, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Comfort working in agile environments and supporting on‑call or incident‑response rotations.
