Job Title: Creative Content Strategist – Ayurveda D2C Performance Marketing

About the Role
We run a fast-moving Ayurveda e-commerce business that launches and scales multiple health products through Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads. Our model thrives on high-volume creative testing combined with a strict quality filter—because we know that even one bad creative can burn through our testing budget.
We are looking for a Creative Content Strategist who doesn't just "edit" or "write" but understands what makes an Ayurveda ad convert. This person will be the gatekeeper of quality for all video and image creatives before they go live. You will work closely with our in-house team of video editors to turn raw footage into high-ROAS ad creatives.
If you have the eye for what stops a scrolling thumb, what font colour works on a Neem face pack video, how many seconds before the product must appear, and why a testimonial format outperforms a talking-head—this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Strategy & Quality Control
- Review every video/image creative produced by the editing team before it hits the ad account.
- Apply a sharp conversion-focused checklist: hook effectiveness, product visibility, text placement, music selection, colour grading, and call-to-action.
- Reject or send back creatives that do not meet quality standards, with clear, actionable feedback.
2. Performance-Driven Ideation
- Study competitor ads, market trends, and past campaign data to generate new creative concepts every week.
- Write briefs for the editing team that include: hook scripts, visual references, shot requirements, and mandatory ad elements.
- Work closely with the media buying team to understand what's working (CTR, ROAS, CPA) and feed those insights back into creative iteration.
3. Team Enablement & Playbook Building
- Gradually document your decision-making process into a "Creative Playbook"—a living SOP that trains junior editors to think strategically.
- Conduct 15-minute daily review sessions with the editing team to explain why certain creatives win and others fail.
- Help convert "intuition" into repeatable rules that scale the team's output without losing quality.
4. Testing & Data Feedback Loop
- Collaborate on creative split-testing: which hook won? Which background music failed? Why?
- Maintain a creative performance tracker and share weekly insights with the founder.
- Own the ultimate metric: creative quality score (measured by post-review approval rate, ad performance, and testing budget wastage reduction).
Must-Have Requirements
- Deep understanding of performance creative for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads – you know the difference between a brand video and a direct-response ad.
- Proven ability to judge a video's conversion potential in under 10 seconds – you can explain why a hook will or won't work.
- Basic knowledge of Ayurveda/health/wellness space – or the curiosity to learn fast. You understand that a Chyawanprash ad and a hair oil ad need completely different visual languages.
- Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English (Punjabi a bonus but not mandatory) – you'll give clear feedback to editors who may not be strong in English.
- Hands-on mindset – you're not above opening Canva or Premiere Pro to mock up an example if needed, but your main job is strategy, not execution.
Good-to-Have (Not Mandatory)
- Experience working in a D2C startup or dropshipping setup with fast product turnover (3–4 month cycles).
- Prior role as a Creative Lead, Senior Copywriter, or Video Strategist in a performance marketing agency or e-commerce brand.
