Job Description – Mechanical Engineer Cum Site Supervisor (Automation Industry Experience)

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Engineer Cum Site Supervisor with a background in the Automation Industry to handle project execution, machine installation, site supervision, and manpower coordination at client locations. The candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial automation projects, assembly lines, machine installation, conveyor systems, robotic integration, fabrication, and project site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day site activities related to automation and mechanical installations.
- Handle machine installation, assembly, alignment, and commissioning support activities.
- Coordinate with clients, project teams, vendors, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and ensure work completion within project timelines.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings, GA drawings, layouts, and assembly drawings.
- Supervise fabrication, conveyor installation, structures, and equipment erection activities.
- Manage site manpower deployment, attendance, and productivity.
- Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR), material tracking, and site documentation.
- Ensure implementation of safety procedures and quality standards at site.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during installation and execution.
- Support project engineers during machine trials and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with electrical and PLC teams during project execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in the Automation Industry.
- Experience in industrial automation projects, machine installation, conveyor systems, assembly lines, robotic systems, or plant projects.
- Strong understanding of fabrication, installation, and project execution activities.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and layouts.
- Good communication and team handling skills.
- Must be willing to work at project sites and travel as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Automotive/Industrial Automation projects.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Familiarity with site safety standards and project reporting.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
