About Gradera
Gradera defines a new category of enterprise transformation called Software-Orchestrated Services - where software orchestrates human expertise, digital workers, and enterprise systems to deliver governed outcomes at scale. As an AI Native Services firm, we help enterprises redesign how work gets done across operations, product, engineering, customer experience, data, and enterprise workflows to move beyond fragmented AI pilots and disconnected automation toward measurable business outcomes.
We are seeking a hands-on, visionary Lead Simulation Engineer to drive the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of our simulation platform for digital twin solutions. This is a foundational leadership role responsible for building the simulation engine that powers real-time scenario planning, what-if analysis, and operational optimization across enterprise digital twins.
You will lead a team of simulation engineers, architect the simulation platform using industry standards (OpenUSD, FMI/FMU), and bridge the gap between physics-based modeling and real-time operational decision-making. We value candidates with strong simulation fundamentals using scientific computing background. The simulations thus created should be compatible to run in web or game engines (Unity, Unreal).
- Physics engines (PhysX, Bullet) for dynamics and kinematics
- OR-Tools for optimization and constraint solving
- Multi-physics modeling (mechanical, thermal, fluid where applicable)
- Rust and/or Python for simulation development
- Real-time simulation composition, loops, time-stepping, and state management
- Run simulations on data available from the past along with “what-if” scenarios composed based on synthetically generated data.
- Calibrate and overlay for real world equivalents of the simulations run.
- Build simulations that could be scaled for multi/distributed processing, benchmarking, and tuning for performance requirements.
- Define and own the simulation platform architecture for scalability, extensibility, and performance
- Define and own the simulation strategy, data strategy and architecture
- Design simulation patterns for real-time and batch what-if analysis
- Lead development of discrete event and physics-based simulation models
- Build optimization algorithms for scheduling and resource allocation
- Design co-simulation frameworks integrating multiple domain models
- Optimize simulation performance and build validation frameworks
- Establish engineering standards, code quality guidelines, and architectural patterns
- Provide team leadership: mentorship, code reviews, hiring support, and skills development
- 10+ years of experience in simulation engineering, game engine development, with experience in scientific computing, with 4+ years in technical leadership roles
- Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science engineering, or master’s degree in physics/mathematics.
- Track record of architecting and delivering production-grade simulation platforms
- Experience building simulation systems that integrate with enterprise data and ML pipelines
- Experience building simulations for digital twin platforms
- Background in operations research or logistics optimization
- Experience with real-time simulation for operational decision support
- Contributions to OpenUSD, FMI standard, or open-source simulation projects
- Experience with USD for Unity or USD for Unreal plugins
- Familiarity with visualization pipelines (Three.js, WebGL, or native rendering)
- Publications or patents in simulation, physics modeling, or game engine architecture
- Exposure to industrial domains such as Manufacturing, Logistics, or Transportation is a plus.
