Job Summary:
An MBBS GP provides primary healthcare services to patients of all age groups. The role involves diagnosing and treating common illnesses, managing chronic diseases, conducting health assessments, prescribing medications, providing preventive care, and referring patients to specialists when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients and obtain medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment outcomes.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic investigations.
- Provide preventive healthcare, vaccinations, and health education.
- Manage emergency and first-aid cases within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Refer patients to specialist doctors when advanced care is required.
- Follow medical ethics, clinical guidelines, and healthcare regulations.
- Participate in health awareness and community outreach programs as needed.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid medical registration/license with the relevant medical council.
- Completion of internship as required by local regulations.
- Basic knowledge of emergency medicine and primary care management.
