Job Title: Medical Representative (Management Trainee)
Job Summary:
The Medical Representative (MR) is responsible for promoting and detailing the company’s products to doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in a specified geographical region. The MR plays a crucial role in increasing product awareness, driving sales, and providing product information to healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote Products: Visit doctors, clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies to promote and sell pharmaceutical products. Conduct detailed product presentations to healthcare professionals.
- Establish Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key healthcare professionals including doctors, pharmacists, and medical staff.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics set by the company.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with product information, industry trends, competitor products, and medical literature.
- Market Intelligence: Gather and report on competitor activities, customer feedback, and market trends to the management team.
- Medical Conferences and Events: Attend medical conferences, events, and seminars to enhance product knowledge and network with healthcare professionals.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, market feedback, and performance against targets.
- Sample Distribution: Distribute product samples to doctors and medical professionals to encourage product usage.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training to remain knowledgeable about the latest industry developments, new products, and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field (a medical background may be preferred).
- Previous experience in medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and industry regulations.
- Self-motivated with a target-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within a specified region.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in promoting pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals.
- A valid driver’s license (if required for the job).
Working Conditions:
