Job Summary
The PDI Assistant is responsible for supporting the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) process and ensuring that vehicles are properly inspected, prepared, cleaned, and ready for customer delivery as per company and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of new vehicles.
- Check vehicles for exterior and interior damage, scratches, dents, and manufacturing defects.
- Assist in checking basic vehicle functions such as lights, horn, wipers, tyres, battery, fluid levels, AC, and other controls.
- Verify that all standard accessories and customer-requested accessories are properly installed.
- Ensure vehicles are cleaned and properly prepared before delivery.
- Follow the prescribed PDI checklist and complete inspection records accurately.
- Report any defects, missing items, or quality issues to the PDI Supervisor/Service Manager.
- Assist technicians in rectifying minor issues identified during inspection.
- Ensure vehicles are parked and moved safely within the dealership premises.
- Maintain proper documentation and update PDI status in the system/register.
- Keep the PDI/workshop area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all dealership safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform other duties assigned by the PDI Supervisor or Service Manager.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 10th/12th pass candidates with basic automobile knowledge may also be considered.
- Freshers can apply.
- Previous experience in an automobile dealership/workshop will be an advantage.

Working Conditions
The position requires working in an automobile dealership/workshop environment. The employee may need to stand for extended periods, inspect vehicles, assist with vehicle movement, and work according to dealership delivery schedules.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
